Typewriter Poetry

imageIt has always been a long journey from childhood dreamer to writer
The blurry nights and the dank smell of cab fares while riding on empty pockets
The refreshing sunrise and awakening from a sleepless night
No memories
No regret
No remorse for the sinful heart
Nights of Jazz, Rap, Bluegrass, and Grunge Rock Punk chicks
Polished shoes and coat check tickets
The fashionably torn jeans and an old grey and black wool Fedora with cigarette burns
The hint and lingering multitude of lipstick shades marking the fraying edges
The story of a night and a life treated the same
The glory and the failure
The jokes and the forgotten punch lines to life
The talking walls of laughter and the fly by night tears
Too many themes, songs, playlists, and women abound
To repeat it all within one poem or constellation
The truth dangling with the stars and a broken heart
