Quote of the day: “Keep your face always toward the sunshine – and shadows will fall behind you.”
A summer rain
And watching tomatoes grow.
A hint of sunshine peaks thru
Allowing the setting sun,
A Glimmer of light against the bald rock face,
Making it smile before the coming twilight mistress.
The mist floats off the rocky broad river,
Becoming a foggy wig upon the green flowing trees, broken rocks, and spindly kudzu vines. These are the mere shadows of spring collapsing, and Hinting to the kindred fires of summer approaching.
Walking garden paths;
Itching, scratching, and picking.
Watching flowers become shades of red, pink, yellow, and even crimson.
A scarecrow to say hello,
And a quiet snake to hiss you.
At least Otis the groundhog is gone,
Other words I will leave him chewing to.
