Poetic Treason

imageI cannot offer you more than this,
I claim to know so much less.
The world claims everyone,
And we are just the sum of what we dismiss.

I am always worthless to myself,
And I believe not in what I preach.
To know is just a con mans curse,
I deny and surrender to none of those sermons.

I want to be your word to this world,
But I must define everything as if new.
The corrupt they do abound,
So please give me the peace of reason,
To disregard my poetic treason.
