U.S. role in Middle East political unrest?

The lack of support from the United States for Democracy and the people of Egypt shows the hypocrisy of our country.  Our Government wants stability in the country and region and that does not mean freedom and democracy.  A free Egypt could cause trouble for foreign policies and objectives.  I think the U.S. and especially President Obama should pressure the Egyptian government to provide total internet and phone networks to the people of Egypt.  The people of Egypt deserve to have their voice heard and we should not push our objectives onto their possible future.  We should play a role in assisting the people in what they want.  We should be protesting the government of Egypt silencing the people of that country from telling the rest of the world what they want and what is going on there.
