I caught the school bus every morning like my momma taught me to,
The education I learned was always there waiting,
When the momma told me so.
I learned of sports,
And the birds and bees not taught at home,
At home it is work and no play,
To be on that school bus it only told me true.
Oh sweet momma,
I learned my lessons
Not always what you were preaching,
But the same I have found so true.
